Sushi Masa Japanese Restaurant

This place has definitely earned it’s 8.4 rating on Eatability, there’s no doubt about that. I have been here two times, my last visit was last Friday 13/5 and may I just say that it’s quickly become one of my favorite places for Japanese food.

The food is simple, fresh and tasty, served up by friendly efficient waitstaff. Best of all the prices are very reasonable for the quality and generous servings that you are getting. Great place if you want a quick bite or a nice quiet dinner away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

My boyfriend and I both agree that the Karage Chicken is the best we’ve had in Sydney. Not too much batter but just enough to give it a delicious crispy coating which is a marriage made in heaven when dipped into the yummy mayo..mm mm.

The sashimi salad is incredibly fresh and makes a fantastic side with its mix of fresh tuna and salmon pieces. The miso dressing compliments the dish in the most amazing way!

The Chef’s Special Sushi Platter was amazing, the sushi rice holds the sashimi pieces together so well. Every piece aside from the Roe (I’m not a fan) was fresh and fantastic!

And as usual we over ordered, well I did anyway 😀 Glad I did as I wanted to try something new especially in the cold weather we’ve been having of late. This Prawn Tempura Udon did the trick, the tempura was a standout, so light and crispy. There was a mixture of vegetables as well as the prawns. The udon noodle was cooked perfectly, such a treat!
